Ural Airlines carries animals in the passenger cabin. To transport animals in the aircraft cabin, the passenger must notify the airline about the carriage when booking, purchasing a ticket or by calling the passenger support service, since the carriage of animals is carried out with the consent of the airline and there are restrictions on the number and types of animals and birds transported.
Paid service:
- On flights within Russia – 3500 Russian rubles.
- On CIS flights – 45 euros
- On flights to non-CIS countries – 70 euros
The price is indicated for the entire route in a one-way ticket, regardless of the number of segments.
It is allowed to transport animals in cages/carriers in the aircraft cabin, accompanied by an adult, capable passenger. There may be several animals or birds of the same species in a cage/carrying unit. Placing animals or birds in a container/cage should be free and comfortable for pets. If the carrier is made of thick textile (soft), then the size of the cage/carrying should not exceed 45x35x25 cm. If the carrier/cage has a rigid frame, then the permissible dimensions are 45x35x22 cm. The total weight including the cage is up to 8 kg.
One passenger has the right to carry only one pet carrier in the aircraft cabin (up to 8 kg under the seat in front or up to 15 kg on the next seat, subject to the purchase of the CBBG service).
If a passenger is traveling with an infant under 2 years of age, it is prohibited to purchase the “Animal Transportation” service.
Rules for transporting animals outside the Russian Federation:
- AZERBAIJAN
The following are allowed for transportation: cats, dogs, birds (parrots, canaries).
Documents for transportation:
- an international health certificate issued or confirmed no later than 10 days before departure. The certificate must contain a seal and information about the absence of infectious and parasitic diseases or any other contagious diseases.
- ARMENIA
Allowed for transportation: cats, dogs.
Each passenger is allowed to import a maximum of 2 animals without an import permit and without quarantine.
When arriving from Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan or the Russian Federation, it is necessary to have a veterinary certificate including records of a clinical examination performed by an authorized veterinarian within 5 days before departure to Armenia.
When arriving from other countries, you must have a passport with stamps confirming the required vaccinations. A veterinary certificate is not accepted.
Dogs and cats must be free of rabies and must be vaccinated against rabies and additionally vaccinated as follows:
- for dogs: against canine distemper, hepatitis, viral enteritis, parvovirus and adenovirus infections, leptospirosis
- for cats: against panleukopenia
Vaccination must be done no later than 20 days before departure to Armenia, where they have not been vaccinated within the last 12 months.
Transport of birds is prohibited.
- EGYPT
The following are allowed for transportation: cats, dogs.
The following are allowed for transportation: cats, dogs.
- a valid state veterinary health certificate issued at the point of origin (validity period – two weeks from the date of issue). This certificate does not exempt pets from being examined by a doctor from the Egyptian Ministry of Agriculture upon arrival. Quarantine in case of suspicion of any disease can be up to a maximum of 15 days (the cost of placing an animal is 1.50 Egyptian pounds, not including food).
Transport of birds is prohibited.

- CHINA
The following are allowed for transportation: cats, dogs.
Only one animal is allowed per passenger.Cats and dogs:
- must undergo 30 days of isolation and quarantine and can only enter through Beijing (PEK), Guangzhou (CAN), Shanghai Hongqiao (SHA), Shanghai Pudong (PVG) and Urumqi (URC) airports.
- must have a microchip in accordance with international standards ISO 11784 and 11785.
Documents for transportation:
- valid quarantine and vaccination certificates issued by the competent authorities of the country of departure
- a rabies antibody test showing a blood titer of at least 0.5 IU/ml, carried out in an approved laboratory
- For guide dogs and rescue dogs with valid quarantine certificates, vaccination certificates, appropriate professional training certificates are also required.
Prohibited: birds.
- Türkiye
The following are allowed for transportation: cats, dogs, birds (parrots, canaries).

- vaccination against rabies with an inactivated vaccine at least 30 days and maximum 12 months before departure.
Special procedures:
Pets must be treated for external and internal parasites a minimum of 10 and a maximum of 30 days before departure.
Import permits and licenses:
An import permit is required no later than 14 days before departure.

The certificate must contain information that the bird:
- examined and found to be healthy and free from clinical signs of any infectious or contagious disease;

- was tested for bird flu and Newcastle disease twice, a minimum of 7 days and a maximum of 14 days before departure.
Import permits and licenses:
- An import permit is required no later than 14 days before departure.
- CITES-listed ornamental birds require a CITES import permit. The permit must be issued no later than 90 days before arrival in Uzbekistan.

Check-in of passengers transporting animals for flights is carried out only at check-in counters at the airport. We recommend arriving at the airport in advance to register your pet for the flight.
The following are accepted for carriage on board the aircraft*:
- Cats
- Dogs
- Parrots
- Canaries
*If the passenger has a Business class air ticket, only cats or dogs are allowed for transportation.
- No more than 4 antagonistic animals are allowed for transportation in the economy class cabin, and no more than 1 in the business class cabin
- Animals must be clean, have no unpleasant odor, and be accustomed to a container/cage.
It is prohibited to remove animals from the container/cage in the passenger cabin and feed them during the flight.
If the established dimensions are exceeded, animals must be transported as hand luggage with the provision of an additional passenger seat in the aircraft cabin, subject to the purchase of the “Cabin Baggage” service. Tariffing according to the cost of an air ticket on the selected route.
In this case, the total weight of the cage and the animal should not exceed 15 kg, and the size of the cage should not exceed the parameters 45x60x45 cm.

Voluntary refusal of additional services
Voluntary cancellation of the Animal Transportation service is possible no later than 24 hours before flight departure. Cancellation of the service less than 24 hours before departure and before the end of registration is possible with a non-refundable fee of 25% of the cost of the service. Cancellation after registration is not possible (the cost is non-refundable).
Involuntary refunds due to cancellation or rescheduling of a flight are made in full.

The cage/carrying must be made of plastic, fiberglass, metal, welded mesh or wood, thick textile
If the carrier is made of thick textile (soft), then the size of the cage / carrier should not exceed 45x35x25cm.
If the carrier/cage has a rigid frame, then the permissible dimensions are 45x35x22 cm.
The size of the cage/container must allow the animal to stand up to its full height and turn 360 degrees
The cage/carrying must be clean, odorless, spacious enough for your pet, have ventilation holes, a reliable locking device to prevent spontaneous opening
The bottom of the cage/carrying unit should be thick, waterproof and covered with non-toxic absorbent material. There must be a lip around the perimeter of the bottom of the container/cage to prevent spillage of absorbent material
The cage/carrying should have handles for easy transportation.
The cage with the bird must be covered with thick, light-proof fabric
During takeoff, landing, and through turbulence, the cage/carrying device must be safely placed under the seat in front or in place as directed by the flight attendant.
The cage/carrying cage may not be placed near emergency exits, obstruct escape routes, or interfere with the comfort or service of other passengers.

On flights within Russia:
- Veterinary certificate of vaccination of the animal or veterinary passport, with a note on the clinical examination of the animal.
On flights outside Russia:
- Veterinary certificate form No. 1, issued on the basis of a veterinary certificate (no earlier than 5 days before departure) and registered with the veterinary service of the border control point

Documents required by the veterinary authorities of the country of arrival or transit*
*Passengers flying to Israel with animals must have permission from the veterinary control of Ben Gurion Airport to bring the animal into Israel. To import an animal to other countries, passengers must personally familiarize themselves and take note of the rules of the country they are visiting for the import of animals.
For the attention of passengers traveling with a pet abroad from the Zhukovsky International Airport (Moscow), state veterinary control is not carried out at this airport.If it is necessary to carry out state veterinary control, a departing passenger must contact the following border veterinary control points (hereinafter referred to as BCP) in advance to obtain accompanying veterinary documents:

The passenger bears full responsibility for the animals, the availability and compliance of the necessary permits and certificates.
The airline is not responsible for personal injury, loss, illness or death of animals.
Passengers transporting pets in a container/cage in the passenger cabin are not provided with seats in the emergency exit row, as well as seats in the front part of the Economy cabin, as well as seats in the same block of seats with passengers with children or with other passengers transporting animals . Seating for passengers with pets is possible starting from the 16th row.
Airline personnel are not responsible for caring for animals.
Ural Airlines does not transport animals to the United Arab Emirates and Portugal.
When checking in for a flight, transportation of an animal will be denied in the following cases:
- Transportation of the animal has not been previously agreed upon or confirmed
- There are no documents required to register an animal for a flight.
- Transportation of the animal is not paid
- The animal exhibits threatening or restless behavior
- There is a threat to the health and safety of other passengers
- Carrier/cage does not meet specifications
- Transportation of service dogs and guide dogs
The service must be paid no later than 36 hours before the departure time indicated in the schedule.
Service dogs are transported subject to:
- The passenger must provide a document confirming that he is an employee of the canine service of the federal executive body,
- The passenger must provide a document confirming the special training of a service dog
- The dog is transported without a container
- The dog must wear a collar and muzzle
- During the flight, the dog must be tied to a seat at the feet of the passenger it is accompanying.
- The dog must not pose a threat to the sanitary and hygienic condition of the passenger cabin during the flight, relieve its natural needs on board, or cause damage to the property of the airline or passengers.

Voluntary refusal of additional services
Voluntary cancellation of the Animal Transportation service is possible no later than 24 hours before flight departure. Cancellation of the service less than 24 hours before departure and before the end of registration is possible with a non-refundable fee of 25% of the cost of the service. Cancellation after registration is not possible (the cost is non-refundable).
Involuntary refunds due to cancellation or rescheduling of a flight are made in full.

The cage/carrying must be made of plastic, fiberglass, metal, welded mesh or wood, thick textile
If the carrier is made of thick textile (soft), then the size of the cage / carrier should not exceed 45x35x25cm.
If the carrier/cage has a rigid frame, then the permissible dimensions are 45x35x22 cm.
The size of the cage/container must allow the animal to stand up to its full height and turn 360 degrees
The cage/carrying must be clean, odorless, spacious enough for your pet, have ventilation holes, a reliable locking device to prevent spontaneous opening
The bottom of the cage/carrying unit should be thick, waterproof and covered with non-toxic absorbent material. There must be a lip around the perimeter of the bottom of the container/cage to prevent spillage of absorbent material
The cage/carrying should have handles for easy transportation.
The cage with the bird must be covered with thick, light-proof fabric
During takeoff, landing, and through turbulence, the cage/carrying device must be safely placed under the seat in front or in place as directed by the flight attendant.
