Countries of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU)
The Member States of the Eurasian Economic Union are the Republic of Armenia, the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic and the Russian Federation
Before traveling to Russia, you must read the following.Rules for the movement of goods for personal use by individuals through the customs border of the EAEU:
- Imported goods whose customs value exceeds 10,000 euros in equivalent and / or whose total weight exceeds 50 kg;
- Imported and exported cash (banknotes, treasury bills, coins, with the exception of coins from precious metals) and / or traveler"s checks for a total amount exceeding the equivalent of 10,000 US dollars;
- Imported and exported monetary instruments (bills, bank checks, securities);
- Cultural values;
- Precious metals and precious stones;
- Exported state awards of the Russian Federation;
- Endangered animals and plants, their parts, as well as products obtained from them;
- Weapons and ammunition, including edged weapons (knives, brass knuckles, meerkens, etc.)
- Imported alcoholic beverages in an amount of more than 3 liters;
- Narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances in the form of medicines for medical reasons, if relevant documents are available;
- Radio-electronic means and / or high-frequency devices for civilian purposes, including those built-in or included in other goods;
- Hardware with encryption features;
- Goods for personal use received as a legacy subject to documentary evidence of the receipt of such goods as a legacy;
- • Goods for personal use imported in accompanied baggage, if the person moving them has unaccompanied baggage *
* The definition of “goods for personal use” includes items, medicines, etc. that are imported / exported into the EAEU exclusively for the needs of one person without the purpose of subsequent sale.
2. The following goods may be imported into the EAEU customs territory with exemption from customs payments for personal use:
- Goods whose customs value does not exceed 10,000 euros in equivalent and / or whose total weight exceeds 50 kg;
- Alcoholic drinks and beer not more than 3 liters per one individual who has reached the age of 18;
- Tobacco and tobacco products: 200 cigarettes or 50 cigars (cigarillos) or 250 grams of tobacco (including "nasvay" * chewing tobacco), or these products in assortment with a total weight of not more than 250 grams, per one individual who has reached 18 years of age;
* Nasvay - sucking tobacco made from refined shaggy or tobacco dust, alkaline and adhesive substances, with the possible addition of vegetable oil, non-tobacco raw materials and other ingredients.
Please note that when importing goods for personal use by individuals into the customs territory of the EAEU, the following customs payment rates are applied:
- A single rate of 30% of the customs value of goods, but not less than 4 euros per 1 kg of weight, in terms of exceeding the cost norm of 10,000 euros in equivalent and / or whose total weight exceeds 50 kg;
- The flat rate is 22 euros per 1 liter - in case of import of ethyl alcohol in an amount up to 5 liters;
- A single rate of 10 euros per 1 liter for exceeding the quantitative norm of 3 liters - in the case of the importation of alcoholic beverages and beer in an amount of 3 to 5 liters inclusive.
For personal use, a passenger MAY NOT be taken out of the territory of the EAEU:
- Fish and seafood (except for sturgeon caviar) in an amount of more than 5 kg;
- Sturgeon caviar weighing more than 250 grams
Non-personal goods include:
- Natural diamonds;
- Exported goods in respect of which export customs duties are established;
- Central heating boilers;
- Mowers (except lawn mowers), machines for haying, etc .;
- Tanning salons;
- Medical equipment and equipment (with the exception of those necessary along the route or for medical reasons), etc.
